The ground disappears
As I plummet into emptiness
My heartbeat pounds in my ears
As I’m swallowed into the abyss
The darkness consuming
As I close my eyes tight
The fear is looming
Like the end of a restless night
As my breath starts to fade
And the silence appears
The courage I prayed
Turns slowly into fear
