My Favorite Scary Movie: The Black Phone By: Sachi Dixit

My Favorite Scary Movie: The Black Phone

By: Sachi Dixit

My favorite scary movie is The Black Phone. The movie is about a young boy

named Finny, who gets kidnapped by a creepy man called the Grabber. Finny is thrown

into the Grabber’s basement, where he finds a mysterious black phone that lets him talk

to the Grabber’s past victims. He tries to use their warnings and advice to escape. I love

this movie because it’s super intense and keeps me on the edge of my seat the whole

time, which I secretly love.

The story is really thrilling and interesting. The Grabber is a dangerous man who

plans to kill Finny just like all his past victims, but Finny has to use his smarts to survive

this terrifying nightmare. I also love the idea of a magical black phone that allows him to

talk to the dead because we get to learn about the other victims’ stories. It makes Finny

even more determined to escape and adds a mysterious, spooky twist that I think is really

cool.

My all-time favorite part of the movie has to be the ending, when Finny uses the

black phone to defeat the Grabber, guided by the spirits of the victims. It feels like all the

kids are connected, rooting for Finny as they give him tips throughout the movie. I love

how it shows that even though they are gone, the victims are still looking out for each

other and for anyone in danger. The scene is scary but also satisfying because it feels like

justice is finally served. Watching it makes my heart race, and I love how the movie

balances fear with hope and teamwork, even in the darkest moments.

I think The Black Phone is the best scary movie because it is thrilling, mysterious,

and full of suspense. Every time I watch it, I feel a mix of fear and excitement, which

makes it even more fun, especially during fall and Halloween season. I would watch it

again and recommend it to anyone who loves creepy, spooky, and suspenseful movies

with just a touch of cozy vibes.
