Spring Break During COVID Saanvi Kunisetty

 Spring Break During COVID

Saanvi Kunisetty

While COVID has been affecting our daily lives, entering spring break has really shown me what a huge difference it has made. While any other year, I may have traveled somewhere with my family during break, this year, COVID has made that highly risky and unwanted. So, what can we do during break? Do we just sit at home, staring out the window? Here are a few ideas of what to do to keep you (and your family) entertained during spring break.

Family Game Time:

One of the silver linings of the pandemic is having an opportunity to spend more time with family, something we don’t always get. So, cherish this, and set aside some time to play some games with your family. Some great ones include charades, twister, hot potato, and more.

Take a Road Trip:

Who said we still can’t travel? Of course, if you are taking a road trip, make sure to follow certain guidelines. Always carry hand-sanitizer with you, avoid stopping a lot, especially at common tourist places, and stay out of crowded areas. Instead, go ahead and enjoy the beautiful countryside or the breathtaking view of the mountains.

Camping:

Here’s another way to have a vacation but still stay away from crowded places. Find a local campground and enjoy nature, s’mores, and fireside songs while you stay safe and healthy.
