Review of Lost by James Patterson & James O; review by Harshini Dinesh

Lost by James Patterson and James O. Born is a fast-paced, exciting novel. The novel has a quick-witted detective, Tom Moon, who, along with the help of a Dutch detective and his police team, work to trap human-traffickers and save the victims. Throughout the book there were intriguing details that were crucial to solving the crime. Also, the various perspectives that the story was told through helped give the reader some insight on the background of characters and more detail about what the trafficked victims were going through. At the end, the crime was solved and the happy ending was fulfilling. This quick-read novel not only was intriguing with its twists and turns, but it was also informative of how people are lured into human-trafficking. The novel could have been better if the story had told us how the traffickers came into possession of the rare diamond which was their last hope of escaping from the thugs. However, overall the novel was enthralling.
