Packing Away, a poem by Siya Sharma

 Packing Away

I grab my bag and start to fill
With comfy clothes that I can chill
A toothbrush goes in with my book,
I check my checklist, then take another look

My favorite shirt, some socks, a hat,
Can’t forget my coat and my cat
Snacks go in and maybe more
There is still some space left on the floor

Zipped it up, now I am all set,
I am starting to get a sweat
Packing is fun but takes some care,
To be prepared when I get there
