Cherry Blossoms
I look around and see butterflies,
Slowly, cherry blossoms fall from the sky
No loud sounds, no grand parade,
Just quiet pink that will not evade
A million beauties on every tree,
Flying where the breeze runs free.
They do not beg to last or stay,
Just shimmer for one season, then they drift away
Sidewalks wear this velvet red snow,
Then lose it all in one swift blow
Beauty never needs to cling
Cherry blossoms teach us about spring
