Thanksgiving Feast
a poem
by: Siya Sharma
A table set with love and care
The scent of turkey fills the air
Pumpkin pies and cranberry sauce
A feast of thanks, with foods of all sorts
The chestnut leaves begin to fall
As we gather ‘round the table, one and all.
Hands held close, hearts open wide,
Grateful for the life's sweet ride
Laughter, wishes, stories flow
The warmth of family, our smiles all glow
Sharing thanks for peace, a wish for grace
In every heart, these people have an important place
A time to pause, reflect, and see,
Full of happiness, everyone agrees
Thanksgiving’s more than food and cheer,
It’s love, and hope, and those most dear
