Camping in the Poconos
Every year my family has gone camping in the Poconos for as long as I can remember. We always try to go with close friends to make the trip more memorable. It is an important trip for me because it is a way for me to bond with my friends and spend time with them in a different setting. It is always nice to go out with one friend to do different tasks around our camping grounds and just have some alone time with them. In my many years of camping, I have had many interesting stories to tell about our campsites.
One year I went camping with my close friend and her family. This was a last-minute decision and our parents were rushing when they booked the cabin we were going to stay in. When we got to the location of the campgrounds it was magnificent. There was a lake with many different cabins and tents set up around it with a small island in the middle. As our parents went and got our keys my friend and I was talking about sneaking onto the island and exploring it. When our parents came out they gave us amazing news. The cabin we were staying on was on the island. We were ecstatic and it turned out to be one of my best experiences camping because it was always quiet and we got to row a boat off and on the island.
There was another time we were given a weird campsite. This time we were camping at a different place with a new friend. We wanted to stay in a tent this time and not a cabin because it would be a different experience. When we got to the campsite we booked, we ended up finding out that we were going to stay in a wagon. Although staying in it was a hassle because of the bugs that would enter at night, I still had a great time there.
