What I’m Grateful For
Saanvi Kunisetty
I’ve taken some time to reflect on what I’m most grateful for during this break from the usual monotony of school and then homework. Of course, there is still some of that, but I’ve come to appreciate some of the other smaller things that I’ve been experiencing.
The Sunshine:
Sure, it may still be slightly windy and chilly outside, but the sunshine is something I’ve been craving for since the perpetuous snowfall we got this winter. I’ve longed to feel the warm sun with the gentle breeze while playing badminton outside, something I couldn’t possibly enjoy during the winter.
A Little More Sleep:
While I still sleep pretty late, it gives me comfort to know that I don’t have to wake up at 6:30 in the morning. Now, I can sleep in for a little longer and catch up on that well-needed sleep that I was lacking during school.
More Freedom:
During school, it’s zoom meeting after zoom meeting, just sitting in front of the computer screen, following the structured schedule. During break, I can organize my time how I want to. When I feel like working, I can go ahead and work. If I want a break, I don’t have to worry about being in a class- I can go ahead and relax.
