Magnifying Glass - Saanvi Kunisetty IN HONOR OF MARIE CURIE

 Magnifying Glass - Saanvi Kunisetty

IN HONOR OF MARIE CURIE

She opened all our eyes

Like a magnifying glass would

Her perceptions and postulations were so wise

That she was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize

Her discovery of radium was a notable feat

Yet it was such an enormous sacrifice

Right here sacrifice and visibility do meet

And the world’s clarity has been an exceptional treat

And though she died too quickly for us

Her revelation showed us new ideas

She became our magnifying glass thus

Through her we saw the world without a fuss

A magnifying glass enlarges things

As she broadened knowledge

Though the way she died really stings

The triumph of her discovery still rings

Now that she’s gone, I wish I could thank her

But I’m left to appreciate what she gave us all

Like her, if everyone had a goal they prefer

Our world would become a better place for sure
