4 Things To Do In Quarantine

Now that we all have more time on our hands than we know what to do with, here are 4 things you can do at home!
- Read a new book : Since we’re unable to go outside and check out a physical book from the library, you can try reading online books. Audible, for example, can be used to listen to audio books. Our own public library has recommended Hoopla and Freegal. These two sources allow you to access things like e-books and music.
- Try Yoga/Meditation : During these difficult times, it is easy to get anxious and nervous. Meditating and doing yoga are simple ways to get rid of that stress. There are free videos on YouTube you can refer to. Every morning and night you can do a quick 20 minute yoga or meditation routine. Use it to clear your head!
- Catch up on a show/movie : Due to school work, tests, and projects it may have been difficult to watch your favorite movie or show. Now that you’re home, you have all the time to catch up. You can start a new show that you’ve had your eye on, too!
- Learn/Improve a skill : You can learn a new skill like juggling. You have tons of time to practice! For example, one of my friends downloaded Duolingo from the app store and is self-learning a new language. You can also improve one of your existing skills like cooking or painting. Challenge yourself!
