Thoughtful Thanksgiving
By: Anlin Charles
It's almost Thanksgiving,
The festival of giving.
Friends gather all around,
All the way from across town.
There is a stuffed turkey,
And even beef jerky!
Fro desserts there's pumpkin pie,
With it some heavenly churro fires.
Everyone says prayers for thanks,
The smells of food enhance,
“Time to cut the turkey!”
Everyone screams delightly.
Meeting friends you would see once a year,
Getting everyone ready for the Christmas cheer,
Everyone’s ready to party,
While eating some smarties!
Parents talk about Black friday deals,
While eating their meals.
Talking about getting new cell phones,
Switching out the old ones they own.
Going to play some Mario Kart,
As the game rivals start.
Everyone’s watching to see who’d win,
As the leading gap spreads thin.
Playing roblox with everyone,
Play speed draw like they have already won,
Switching to flicker,
To see who is the winner.
In the end watching a movie,
While drinking a smoothie.
Everyones is happy but tired,
Eating everything that they have desired.
Hosting a game of mafia,
Everyone out to get one another,
No mercy for the toter.
Everyones now leaving,
Outside it is freezing,
Already thinking for the next one,
As though the fun has just begun.
