Dark Mid or White?
There’s always been a debate that has been happening for centuries. The comparison and competition of what is the best chocolate type of all time, and today I am going to solve the rivalry (this is my option and other options may differ from mine, and that is fine!) White chocolate is human made while milk chocolate and dark chocolate is made of cocoa beans.
White chocolate- In my opinion white chocolate shouldn’t even be considered chocolate since it is not even made out of cocoa beans, a vital ingredient for chocolate. White chocolate’s main ingredient is milk. It is the sweetest chocolate flavor there is. You can tell if the chocolate is white chocolate, if the chocolate is in a white color. It tastes like vanilla , and it is best known to be flavorfully paired with red velvet cakes. The good thing about white chocolate is that it can be paired with spicy flavors, sweet flavors, or used for tart flavors. Overall, I don’t personally like white chocolate since I think of it as being too sweet for my liking.
Milk chocolate- Milk chocolate is a classic and is a lot of people’s favorites. It is the middle type of chocolate, a balance, if you don’t want your chocolate to be too sweet or bitter. It can be used as fondue or as chocolate syrup. Milk chocolates contain about 10-50% of cacao, making it highly likable. Milk chocolate can be used as a dip for fruits like bananas, strawberries, apples and other fruits, making it yummy. In my opinion milk chocolate is a bit overrated and I still think it is a bit sweet and would prefer something a little more bitter.
Dark chocolate- Dark chocolate contains from 50-100% cacao, and it is rightfully called chocolate since its main ingredient is cacao beans, for its bitterness. There are many varieties of dark chocolate so, if you like bitter chocolate but don’t feel extreme enough for 90% cacao, you can always dim it down to 70% cacao. It is normally paired with tart flavors, like oranges and lemon zest, for a nice contrast in flavors. Dark chocolate is famous for being paired with raspberries. I personally like dark chocolate since it is bitter and has a nice flavor to it that you can not find anywhere else. I like dark chocolate when it is 70-80% bitter, and if it is more bitter than it would be too much since then it wouldn’t even taste like chocolate at all.
Which chocolate type is your flavor? The white chocolate that tastes like vanilla and can be paired with almost anything, the famously preferred milk chocolate, or even the bitter sweet taste of dark chocolate.
