An End to Procrastination

While doing your homework, you might pick up your phone and tell yourself, “I’ll only take a small break”, until that “small” break turns into 3 hours of playing games, scrolling on social media, and watching YouTube videos. Procrastination has impacted many of our lives, and it’s time to end it.
What is procrastination?
Procrastination is avoiding completing a task that needs to be done, like homework or studying. Many people do this because their work might be very boring, or it might seem like too much to complete. Because of this, some people end up rushing to complete the work last minute, or they might even miss the deadline. Procrastination has become a big problem, but there are many different effective ways to stop.
Tips to beat procrastinating
One way could be to get rid of anything that can be distracting when trying to complete a task. This might include, putting away your phone, turning off the TV, or removing any other things that can be distracting. It’s a lot easier to procrastinate when there are distractions around you, because you feel more tempted to stop working.
way is to work in an effective space. When doing your homework or studying, try to work in an effective space with minimal distractions. For example, trying to study in a loud environment with many people around can make it hard to stay focused. A quiet area with very few distractions, like a library can help you concentrate better.
Additionally, taking breaks in between large chunks of time can be very effective. One of the main reasons people procrastinate is because they might feel overwhelmed by the amount of work they have. But, if you take small breaks, you will feel more motivated and focused on completing a task.

In conclusion, it can be very difficult to overcome procrastination, but there are different ways to end it. There is a large variety of ways and methods to stop procrastinating, but these are just a few things that you can do to avoid it. So, the next time you sit down to do your homework, think about these tips first.
