Golden, a poem by Siya Sharma .

 Golden by Siya Sharma

Always looking for a ball to chase

A loyal friend with a smiley face

A pile of golden fur soft like a pillow

With eyes like pearls of sunlight’s glow

With every wag, pure joy unfolds

A heart of gold each holds

Their barks echoes through the trees

A gentle spirit in the breeze

Through fields of green, they run with glee,
Occasionally getting fleas
A tender nuzzle, an innocent glance
Their sweet presence gives comfort no matter the circumstance

When everything falls apart, they’re by our side,
A steadfast heart, serving as our guide
In quiet moments, they draw near,
Their warmth a balm, getting rid of every fear.

With every pawprint on our soul,
They weave a bond that makes us whole.
In every bark, a tale retold,
Of golden hearts that never grow old.

So here is to them, our shining light,
Every day, they make it bright.
For in their love, we find our way,
A golden thread that will always stay.
