Inside out 2, movie review by Kapil Evany

Movie Review Inside out by: Kapil Evany

Inside Out 2, the sequel to Inside Out 1, follows Riley-the main character when she is 13. The

movie starts out with RIley playing a hockey game. Riley fouls someone because she tripped

the other person and has to go back to the penalty box. After serving her time, she comes back

and with the help of her best friends, wins the game. While the friends are celebrating, the

coach for the high school teams asks if they can come for a hockey camp. They agree excitedly.

When Riley wakes up in the morning, she whines that she is too ugly to go anywhere, after

inside her brain, a button that says ”Puberty” goes off. Sadness, Joy, Fear, Anger and Disgust

and joined by Anxiety, Embarrassment, Envy and Ennui. Sadness, Joy, Fear, Anger and Disgust

don’t want to be joined by the new emotions as Riley is coming up to the camp. Anxiety sends

Sadness, Joy, Fear, Anger and Disgust all the way back to the Back Of The Mind, where bad

memories are stored. The rest of the story is about how Sadness, Joy, Fear, Anger and Disgust

get back to HQ and how the other emotions handle Riley.

I could tell the voice actors were into their roles. And the mom and dad care about Riley.

When Riley reaches the camp, her mom and dad ask if she got everything.

I give this movie a 6.5/10. The movie always had action, but I did not like the new emotions.

Some scenes felt weird and 1-2 felt unnecessary. But, there were fun jokes. And the sub-plot of

Sadness, Joy, Fear, Anger and Disgust trying to get back to HQ was interesting.
