Book Review: Red, White, and Royal Blue.

Hello dear readers! I am back again with another review of a very admired book, which is being

turned into a movie! Yes you guessed right im talking about Red, White, and Royal Blue. This

book by Casey McQuiston highlights the topics of sexuality as well as romance. The movie

starring Nicholas G and Taylor Perez is in filming and will be released very soon. Many viewers

are excited for this move to come out and await the romance and drama. This book is an

enemies to lovers which revolves around a rivalry turned into romance between the prince of

wales and the first son of the US president. The two main characters are from two completely

different backgrounds and countries and have to face their challenges with their own individual

responsibilities and duties. The book however also highlights the dark themes of homophobia

and resentment. When the main lead reveals his relationship to his mother he is taken off her

campaign. However throughout the ending of this novel we see a happy ending to it all. His

mother is reelected to a second term as her state turns blue and votes democrat for the first

time in several decades. The movie also talks about political optimism and touches on the

reality of politics in the world today. However true love isn't always diplomatic, which is why this

book is loved so much and has received so much fan love. So although throughout the movie

there are many hardships and battles that the main leads face, towards the end they overcome

and face their challenges. They persevere through all their differences and endure a great

amount for their love and happiness. The book is a very good representation for the LGBTQ

community as well. It touches on many topics that most authors of book tok do not. There is

also a lot of POC representation which is another reason why it's so loved. This book is very

inspirational and shouldnt only be seen as a romcom. The movie is going to be premiering in

August the summer of 2023 and is one of the most awaited films of 2023. I cannot wait to watch

it and let you know my thoughts!
