Traveler, a poem by Difan Li

 Traveler by Difan Li

Lanky, long-armed there he stood

His voice so old and worn

His craggy face a mahogany stump

Clothing dirtied, torn.

On one tanned cheek

An M-shaped scar

An old pirate

Come from Mars.

Wooly, silvery, shining hair

Matched with gleaming coin,

Shirtless, barefoot, here and there

A mighty sight to join
