Shadow: a poem by Charity Ketu Betfian

 Shadow

He walked with confidence

Shoulders high

It was no coincidence

That she always shied

At his mere sight,

Her soul was crushed

Empty, dark, … fill in the words

She needed not a sun

A moonlight will be suffice

He was oblivious

Carefree, blatant

His sun still shone

Bright and unbothered

She was the victim

He was the villain.
