My Personal Review of the Book "The Catcher in The Rye" by J.D. Salinger, review by Dwij Pandya

The novel, "The Catcher in The Rye" by J.D. Salinger is a young adult fiction novel that takes place in the late 1940s. The book dives deep into many mature themes that may not be suitable for everyone however can be very captivating depending on the reader. However, I did not find any difficulty in going through these themes. I personally believe that these parts of the novel are what gratifies it. While the book's general characters were good, I did not find Holden Caufield, the protagonist, to be very enjoyable to follow. A majority of his actions were frustrating and did not seem to be in line with the personality that we had been introduced to at the beginning of the novel. Nevertheless, his character did strengthen the novel as his character compliments the topics that are discussed. Overall, I found the book very captivating to read despite the themes in place.
