Overwatch is an immensely popular team shooter game with a large selection of heroes to choose from. It's a very fun game that I always find myself coming back to, and I wish there were more games like it. The main aspect that sells the game for me is its cast of heroes. Unlike traditional shooter games where you can only choose your gun, which doesn't change your playstyle too much, each hero in Overwatch has unique weapons and abilities, and there is a wide range of playstyles spread across all the characters. You can heal your teammates, snipe your opponents, build turrets, or sneak around the map invisible. Getting the choice to play any hero you want makes the game a lot more fun and unique, and the heroes themselves each have personalities or designs that match their playstyles. You can be a cyborg ninja, cutting through enemies and deflecting bullets with your sword, you can be a valiant warrior, holding up a shield for your teammates and smashing enemies with a rocket hammer, you can be an explosives-obsessed criminal, launching bombs arbitrarily and placing mines around the map, and you can be your team's guardian angel, healing them and even bringing them back to life. Each character is well-designed and fun to play and their in-game voice lines and animations match the role that they play in a team. It's an enjoyable, unique, varied game that has yet to grow old for me and just about the only complaint I have about the game is its often unfriendly playerbase, which unfortunately seems to be an unavoidable downside of online multiplayer. 9.5/10.
