Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse review by Chandler Wang

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is about Miles Morales, a Spider-Man from another, parallel universe, and the Spider-Men of many other universes that all come together when a villain called Kingpin builds a device that tampers with the multiverse. The movie has a really cool art style based off of classic comics that makes for some incredible animation. It's a fun movie with a solid story, interesting characters, and a great sense of humor. Miles, for me at least, was a much better Spider-Man than the one in the Marvel movies. Both are awkward kids, but the Marvel Spider-Man always seemed kind of pathetic, almost, to me, and it seemed like he was always meek and uncertain even when it was his time to save the day. Miles is more of what I want to see from Spider-Man, where he might be scared and unsure of himself, but finds strength and confidence in himself when people need him. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse not only had a strong Spider-Man, but was an incredible movie overall and blew me away even though I had heard so many good things about it before watching the movie. 9.5/10.
