Spring : a Poem by Sanjana Puratchimani

 Spring

Sanjana Puratchimani

The light blue sky was filled with cirrus gray clouds,

houses fill with chatter as the sun awakens.

Birds peacefully chirp in unison sounds.

Water droplets fall from the sky which makes

the damp soil sink into the ground.

Rain patters on the window and wakes

resting children from their slumber.

Green, luscious trees surround

the garden where sweet tulips awake.

The sound of bees buzzing around,

children amusing themselves on break.

Spring; a time when friends and family bond.
