            The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, by Taylor Jenkins Reid, is a novel that revolves around Evelyn Hugo, a 50’s Hollywood star and her romance behind the camera. This book is one of my favorites. I couldn’t put it down. Evelyn Hugo chooses Monique Grant to write her biography. Monique is surprised at Evelyn's request considering that she is an unknown writer for the publishing company, Vivant. With the unexpected twists and turns, it was impossible to not be enthralled by the characters. I highly recommend reading this story as it puts you into the spunky 50’s environment that revolves around Evelyn Hugo. The novel is very interesting and author Taylor Jenkins Reid portrays the struggles of being a woman in the film industry perfectly as well as the social issues that were present during the 1950’s.
