Is Networking Important? by Krish Shah

Is Networking Important? by Krish Shah

Although continuously communicating with new people can become exhausting, it is a necessary skill that individuals should have when working. Networking involves meeting and talking to new people during events, work meetings, college, LinkedIn, and other online websites and events. Networking is important for a variety of reasons. To begin, it allows us to grow our speaking skills. Speaking to people for the first time, can make individuals flustered or nervous, but the continuous practice of it allows us to grow our skill and become better speakers. Additionally, it allows us to meet people that can open doors to new pathways. FOr instance, it could be individuals that work in a company that you eventually want to join and through networking you will get the chance to meet them. Then, when you are ready to join the company you will have a person to ask for assistance on the process of joining or just a person that you are already familiar with as you have met them before. These are just two large examples of how networking is extremely important for your career and communication skills. Although it can become tiring and annoying at times, it is important to continue to network as you never know when doors can open and possibilities can arise by meeting new people.
