Money and Happiness thoughts from Krisha Shah

 Money and Happiness

As a child, I thought happiness came from money. The toys, gifts, and clothes gave me happiness and all of that was bought with money, so in my mind money equated to happiness. But as I got older, I have realized that money is not the reason for my happiness. It is the moments I have with my family and friends playing cards or traveling that brings me true happiness. Now with all that said, I cannot deny that money is extremely important. It defines where we live, where we sleep, what we do, and what we can eat. Our basic needs are met with money. More than that, money enables our choices. It defines whether we can travel, what opportunities we can have, our experiences, and the education we receive. But after money has met our basic needs it does not do much. More money does not define the liveliness of a home or the friends you make. In other words, money does not create or define happiness. These two terms are unrelated and unconnected in many ways.
