Low Iron Isn’t Low Effort
by Anushka Bhatt
I used to think tired
meant lazy,
but no one told me
my blood was running hazy.
Hair in the brush,
cold feet in June,
why did no one say
fatigue can come too soon?
The test said “anemic,”
my doctor was chill,
“Just supplements, spinach,
and time — and you will
be okay.”
health isn’t always seen,
and sometimes tired
means you need iron, not caffeine.
