Jumanji, Movie Review by Kavya Chunduru

 Movie Review by Kavya Chunduru

The movie, Jumaji is about a couple of kids that get sucked into a video game and have to try to survive in it. They face challenges that try to kill them and along the way, they need to find a way to get out.

This movie is a great movie. I would put it in my top 10. I say that because I enjoy watching movies with a lot of comedy and action in them and this movie has the perfect mix of both. The movie never got boring and there was always something that they were getting into that made it interesting. My favorite character from the movie would be either Franklin Finbar or Professor Shelly Oberon. I say this because both of the characters were the funniest during the movie. Franklin Finbar was always complaining about his height and unathletic abilities, because the guy who got his character was a basketball player that wasn't used to being unathletic. Professor Shelly Oberon was a character that could understand maps easily. The girl picked the character thinking that he was a female character and was disappointed to see that he was a male. My favorite scene from the movie would be when they meet Jefferson McDonough, who saves them from the hunters trying to kill them. They find out that he's been in the game for years and was presumed dead in the real world while he was in there. He saves them and then brings them to his cabin while they hatch a plan to leave. An interesting twist that they added to the game is that each player has 3 lives. Once they use all 3, they would die in the game. This made the movie very suspenseful when they got into dangerous situations that were hard to get out of. Overall, I would rate this movie a 5/5 stars.
