Momentum, a poem By: Mridula Murugan

 Momentum

By: Mridula Murugan

It starts small,

a choice you barely notice,

a “maybe later” that turns into years of waiting.

You plan to slow down someday,

but life speeds forward, and

soon you’re sprinting through weeks that blur together

one checklist after another,

your dream turning into routine.

You forget that even the Earth stops spinning

taking a breath with every sunset.

But life keeps going—

and somehow,

so do you.
